Rain

As I looked out the window this morning I noticed it was raining, a robin or some other similar looking type bird, sat in a tree taking a bath from the strange winter shower that was happening.  Watching the rain pour down from the sky, ironically enough got the creative juices going and sent me off to hunt www.ravelry.com,
 
to see if i could find any patterns inspired by the rain, or the weather. And as I'm working on socks this year; there are a few about twelve or so, that i found, some free and some not so free.

Christmas Past

I started knitting a little more than a year ago to help me quit smoking. And guess what? It worked! I haven't smoked a single cigarette in a year. It's so liberating. Then October hit and my mom was like "Let's make Christmas this year" so we did, and it went rather well and then this year we did it again and having a years worth of knowledge under my proverbial belt I was able to make even better presents. I have already started planning for next year, socks. Which I have never done before but I look forwards to the trial and errors of this whole enterprise.
